Drake University, located in Des Moines, Iowa, recently got blasted after the introduction of its Drake Advantage undergraduate recruitment campaign. The premise of this marketing campaign, based on the tagline, “The Drake Advantage: your Passion + our Experience,” was to emphasize that Drake provides its students with not only an education but “an experience that puts opportunity into action and gives purpose to your passion.” Sounds harmless enough, right?
