A Farewell to Kanye West

Kanye,

It’s not us, it’s only you. That’s the problem; you love the limelight too much. With your diamond and gold teeth (we would have accepted a grill, but legitimate teeth made of gem and metal isn’t cool) it affirms that you’ve taken it too far. Holding the ultimate conversation piece, it seems like you’d turn your vocal chords platinum if someone would talk about you.

The Missing Link

Viral Videos aren’t Always Favorites

For the better part of a month I’ve been trying to track down the office’s favorite YouTube videos. I do it because I’m nosy and have a compulsion to know what others are looking at (my office nickname is Hardy Boy). Our office is a cobbling of unusual (sometimes volatile) personalities that are fiercely independent. I would imagine that what they watch doesn’t exactly represent the general consensus of what is popular/acceptable, but, then again, they may provide some indications.

It’s part of my job to track what’s trending and what’s about to. For the most part my favorite videos aren’t the ones that go viral. They aren’t typically associated to any brand either. I thought maybe I was just an outlier, but after looking at some of my co-workers favorites, it became clear that going viral isn’t always associated with personal favorites.
