Welt Branding’s MYPAL
Cincinnati has been busy this summer, and it’s not just the World Choir Games that have introduced other countries to our great City. In June, the Greater Cincinnati World Affairs Council hosted this years Mentorship Partnership for Young African Leaders (MPYAL).
For those of you who aren’t familiar with the program, MYPAL is a three-week professional development program in which Young African Leaders are sponsored by the U.S. Government to come to the States and temporarily join the work force. The program was developed to encourage entrepreneurship and improve U.S. – Africa collaboration.
Eight inspiring young leaders were sponsored by the U.S. government to arrive in Cincinnati on June 15th for two weeks of mentoring with non-profits and businesses in their line of work.
Welt Branding was selected to mentor Patricia Nzolantima from the Democratic Republic of Congo.
We had high expectations for Patricia, but she, by far, exceeded them all. In complete sincerity we best describe her as personable, a hard worker, accomplished and, frankly, pretty inspiring.
Going through her accomplishments, you will find that Patricia has completed a bachelors degree in business and marketing management, a masters in public international law, and an executive MBA. That’s only her education.
She owns and manages the number one marketing agency in Congo, Exp Agency, and has landed clients such as Unilever, Nestle, and Proctor & Gamble. She had built a school, is in the process of building a maternity room for a hospital, she has created jobs for women through Nestle, founded a magazine, started Micro-financing that focuses on providing secure savings accounts, and is in the process of starting her own TV show. She wants to be the next Oprah, and we’re confident that she is well on her way.
Patricia is already an inspiration for women in her country – encouraging them to become entrepreneurs. She provides economic support for the lower class and works hard to keep the talent in Congo.
Stay tuned for a video that introduces Patricia. You’ll find our how MYPAL and Welt has affected her goals in Africa, and about her love for shoes.
Check out Patricia on Twitter @Bizzoly, her personal LinkedIn, and the Exp Agency website.
